Recognising the transformative potential of AI, they embarked on a journey to not only integrate AI into their own marketing workflows but also to redefine the strategies employed by their clients.


The result was the birth of a new AI co-pilot, Compass. By seamlessly integrating AI into various facets of content creation, SEO optimisation, reporting, and beyond, Compass could emerge as a pioneering force, re-imagining the capabilities of marketers and the potential to reshape the landscape of digital marketing.

AI is most effective when it seamlessly integrates into human workflows, enhancing productivity and streamlining operations for companies. While many AI tools aim for this, they often become more complex components within existing processes, leaving companies reliant on multiple AI tools for various stages of their operations. What sets Compass apart is its holistic approach. It doesn't just integrate into the process; it becomes the entire process.


In today's multifaceted work environment, individuals often find themselves navigating through multiple applications, leading to the loss of context and the absence of a single source of truth. Compass serves as the central intelligence, consolidating the entire agency process, from onboarding and project set up to idea generation and output, into one unified platform. By connecting people and solutions in a single space, Compass continuously builds a knowledge base from all inputs, resulting in a central hub where optimisation is maximised.


From a design point of view, our goal was to ensure Compass was as intuitive as possible, empowering users to seamlessly navigate and leverage its capabilities to their fullest extent.

The complexity of this process lay in the mass scale of integration required. Consider, for example, how content created by one individual in their space, could seamlessly transition into another's project space if deemed relevant. What we recognised is that each team member operates within their unique workflow. Project managers engage differently from writers. The challenge was twofold: how to adapt to these diverse workflows and how to empower the Compass brain to navigate and accommodate these different perspectives.

Understanding the intricacies and establishing rules became pivotal aspects of the process, extending beyond just visual design considerations. By laying down these standards early in the phase 1 process, we not only established a solid foundation but also paved the way for future enhancements. It prompted us to explore avenues for increased interaction and feature integration, using phase 1 as a springboard for continued innovation and refinement, as well as helping us understand what Compass could really be.

What we unveiled was the initial phase of Compass, an application developed under the Fifty Five and Five brand. Designed to streamline agency workflows, Compass serves as a comprehensive platform facilitating project creation, brief establishment, content generation, and output production, all within a single space.
